ATT High-Speed Internet Service

ATT HSIDirect DSL High-Speed Internet Home Phone Service Available

Today in the mail, I get what looks to be a pretty good deal. AT&T's "HSIDirect" (high speed internet service) offers 768 kpbs download, for $19.95 per month, which includes access to the nation's largest wi-fi network and it doesn't even require you to have home phone service. Personally, I prefer a faster download speed and do use my share of bandwidth, but for most people, this internet package should suffice. However, people are insecure and feel they need the fastest internet available, even if they hardly use the internet. Many people miss the fact they're only being half-tricked into thinking they need it. They spoon-feed technology out to us; rather than give mankind the best technology available, they sell bits-and-pieces in order to maximize profits. Governments want to be in control of technology for this reason. If aliens brought to Earth, some amazing energy-generating technology, besides keeping people safe from potential harm, governments would want to profit as much as possible from it.

All about money, sadly.

One question I pondered as I opened the ATT advertisement, "How did they get my information?" A little over a week ago, I clicked around some of ATT's website, looking for package deals. Is this ironic? Or is it because ATT knows my IP address is from Comcast and they were able to trace it to my home, or even purchase my info. from Comcast? Makes me wonder. I think both are feasible and wouldn't be surprised if either scenario holds true.
